Hall, Phil (Canada) – 2012


Phil Hall (CAN) is an Ontario-based poet. His book Killdeer recently won the Governor General’s Award for Poetry, the Trillium Book Award, and was shortlisted for the Griffin Poetry Prize. He has taught writing at York University, Ryerson ,Senaca College and George Brown College. Hall’s poetry collections include White Porcupine; An Oak Hunch, shortlisted for the 2006 Griffin Poetry Prize, and The Little Seamstress. He has been writer-in-residence at Sage Hill Writing Experience and The Pierre Berton House. This fall, he will be writer-in-residence at Queen’s University in Kingston.
