Coyote, Ivan E. (Canada) – 2006, 2012

Ivan E. Coyote (CAN) is a master storyteller and performer; her beautiful, funny stories about growing up queer in the Canadian north and living out loud on Canada’s west coast have attracted big audiences whether gay, straight, or otherwise. Her powerful narratives often combine storytelling and live music to create a text-driven genre-busting performance. Her novels include Loose End and Bow Grip, which won the 2007 ReLit Award for Best Fiction and was named a Stonewall Honor Book by the American Library Association and is now in development to be a feature film. She presents Missed Her, a personal collection of short stories that traverses love, gender and identity with an engaging warmth and humour.WordFest Alumna 2006Ivan E. Coyote, cr: Eric Nielson
