Dany Laferrière (CAN) is a Montreal-based cultural commentator, novelist, journalist, screenwriter and filmmaker. His debut novel How to Make Love to a Negro Without Getting Tired, earned him international recognition and he has written 10 more highly acclaimed novels since then. In 2009, he won the esteemed French literary award le Prix Médicis for L’énigme du retour. In 2010, Laferrière was in his birthplace of Haiti when a devastating earthquake crippled the city. He writes of that tragedy in Everything is Moving Around Me. His latest book, The Return is already a bestseller in France and Quebec and has already received numerous awards. Dany Laferrière (CAN) est un journaliste, chroniqueur culturel, romancier, scénariste et réalisateur. Son premier roman Comment faire l’amour à un Nègre sans se fatiguer lui procure une reconnaissance internationale. Il a depuis publié dix-neuf autres romans. En 2009, il gagne le très estimé Prix Médicis pour L’Enigme du retour. En 2010, Laferrière fait un séjour dans sa ville natale, en Haïti, alors qu’un séisme dévastateur touche la ville de Port-au-Prince. Il écrit un roman à propos de cette tragédie : Tout bouge autour de moi. Son dernier livre, L’Enigme du Retour, est un bestseller en France et au Québec et a déjà reçu de nombreux prix.
